SVA Retest - We have a result!

Had my retest today, no problems, just re-checked the failure points and gave me my MAC cert. Job done!

Just get off to the DVLA office in Chester tomorrow and hopefully get it registered provided I don't encounter any problems with that aspect of the process.

Processes for the registration seem to vary more wildly that the inconsistant SVA failure points so I don't know if it will be tomorrow or what. Depends what mood the're in. Just pleased to get the SVA out way.

For anyone about to take the SVA, It seemed better than I thought it was going to be. Anything on you're build were you think, Ah that's good enough, change it to how you'd like it, not what you think might scrape through. I had a couple of points like this and got pulled on them.

I'll know next time.

Had a very enjoyable 30 mile drive back as well.

If your lucks in you may walk away from the DVLA with your registration, If they don't make you wait for an inspection.

I was in and out of Cardiff DVLA in 30 minutes. :thumb:

I made a 30 mile trip down to my "Local" DVLA office after my SVA only to be told to bring the car back for an inspection the next day.
I would phone the DVLA office first and ask them if you need to bring the car with you to save a wasted journey.

The guys at Norroy House came out to my place for the inspection - from memory it was about 3 days after sva - they said they were glad to get out of the office for a change!.
The local CRC meets 4th Sunday at the Tudor Rose - I'll be driving again by then so may see you there.

Cheers Fellas, as I thought, mixed opinons about what may happen if I take all my paperwork in to the DVLA. It's only 10 mins down the road from work so I'll pop in and chance my luck anyway I think, you never know. Need to hand all the paperwork in anyway so won't be a totally wasted journey.

Stan, good to hear they do home inspections as I hadn't fancied trying to get the car into Chester.

Saughall hey, work at Sealand so cut through there all the time when the traffics bad, which is all to often these days!
