So many hopes and so many tears, and all those oh so nears

Dont know how many of us turned down the sunshine and driving the cob for watching the football but I was one of them. Just sat through every minute of the game and I hate to say it but for the first time ever I have been touched by it.

Call me soft, stupid or just patriotic but im sure im not the only one to say they had a moment during the penalty shoot out where by a lump came to our throats.

Cant believe we are out again, that ronaldo needs my breaker bar around his head but im even more depressed to think we wont have a big piss up in Le Mans when we could very nearly of been playing France if they beat Brazil.

Lets just hope our dreams can be reality in two years time.

Sorry to pi55 on you fires guys but same old England same old dross and the same old story.
You can say what you like about red cards , yellow cards play acting , dodgy refs etc but the bottom line is we have a team of so called world class stars who between them earn well over a million quid a week and they can't even hit a f***ing barn door.
You can only be good by beating what's put in front of you and if you can't then your crap.End of story.

100% agree Gareth - but the funny thing is that it was exciting and emotional none-the-less - or was that just done to my alcohol consumption?
