Steve.
Have you connected the red wire (pullup voltage) to ign+ ? I needed to do this before mine would work!

Re: electric blues

Ah. Red/Blue should go to the magnetic sensor. Not Black/White

Re: electric blues

On my Gauge I only connected the following (Smiths Cobra gauge using the Tremec gearbox sensor)

Green to ignition +ve supply
Black to ground
Red/white to dash lamp power
White/black to sensor.
The other terminal on the sensor needs to be connected to ground.

If you still get no reading make sure the sensor is close enough to the pickup points (magnets) as there may be too much of an air gap.

Red/blue is described as going to a magnetic sensor input. What type of sensor are you using and does it only have 2 terminals or 3?

Craig.

I had to "feed" my sensor with 12volts and then read the pulses from the other wire (ie the sensor makes a connection each time it passes over the magnet).

The other thing to do is make sure you've set the pulses about right on the speedo (tweak later), if your a country mile out it may be working...just not registering

Rgds
