Wet weather gear

I have no weather gear with the Sumo I have just bought, and as I intend to make some long trips I need to fit a hood for those unexpected downpours. I could do with some advice on what material is best, fitting tips and choice of suppliers.

Re: Wet weather gear

I simply bought the cheapest Pilgrim option - vinyl. I took the view that these cars don't look particularly pretty in hoods anyway. Fits ok (took me 3 attempts to get it tight but that's my ineptitude not Pilgrim's) and , being plastic, does not let the rain seep through.
Bonus is that Pilgrim's prices actually include things like the hood frame, hood bows etc.:drive:

Re: Wet weather gear

Thanks for that. I spoke to Pilgrim this afternoon, who were very helpful and took the time to talk me through the 3 choices of material. I ended up ordering blue mohair for no other reason than I liked the sound of it.....more money than sense but then it should look as cool as is possible for a car that should not have a top
