Driven for the first time!

Folks,

Drove my Dax De Dion up and down the drive on the weekend. What a feeling!!!! I left two tyre marks the whole way up the drive (about 40ft). :drive: Scared the c**p out of me. I've created a monster!

Brakes are superb! Acceleration is like a jet fighter! Sound is incredible, like a growling leopard!

Cool thing was people were tooting there horns and giving me the thumbs up. I don't think you would get that in Ferrari or a Porsche.

The postman arrived with the post and was absolutely dumbfounded. Said it made his day to see a cobra.

I wonder what it will be like when I actually finish the car.

Re: Driven for the first time!

Hi Bogster,
Well done! The feeling is great when you put your foot down for the first time, wondering if your car will go or not & then a nanosecond later hoping the brakes are going to work too before you run out of drive!
I am lucky as I have a 1/4 mile private road on the farm which is now covered with skid marks! (Not to mention my underwear!) Managed to put over 30 miles on the clock and top 80 mph before the SVA

Well done Bogster, don't crash it before SVA, it's been known to happen!
