Willans Harness Choice

Hi all,
I guess this question may have been asked before but can anyone advise what Willans harness is suitable for general driving & occassional track? The harnessess are for my AK build which will have Richfield seats.

Willans Harness Westfield Type 4x3
WILLANS 3 point short strap harness with push button release mechanism.

2" shoulder straps - with hook mounting, 2" lap straps with 3" load spreader waist pad
- with 7/16" diameter bolt mountings (bolts not supplied) and pull down reverse lap strap adjusters.

E Approved.

Available in Black, Blue, Red -

I got the same setup and took the chromed “flush head” stock seat belt bolts from a Jag and used for the lower mounts. Looks neat and cleared the Richfield seats.

Thanks for the info guys.
I like the look of the Willans 3 point harness but am wondering if I could use a 4 point harness, (2 anchor points instead of one at the top of the shoulder straps)?
let me know your thoughts please.

Unless you plan to put the mounting points on top of the body? I think you may fall foul of the upper mounting point hight rule on Sva on the two outer mounts, due to the curvature of the body. The three points only just squeak through.

Willans do a standard size which suits our cobs, if I remember correctly dimensionally the same as Lotus 7 / Caterham.
Give them a call direct, really helpfull people

that was my fear with a four point harness.
