Tyres

Hi guys

Wondering if you could help me out. At the moment, I am doing a bit of research so that I have a good idea as to what I want my Cobra to be, and I am currently looking for a good pair of shoes for my little snake.

What I would ideally want (if you can still get them) are BF Goodrich tyres with the white lettering on the tyre walls. (pic included)

Could anybody tell me what I should be looking for with this particular tyre, what their opinion is on this type of tyre and where I can get them from?

Thanks in advance

Neil

Re: Tyres

Neil - assuming that you have 15" wheels, I think you will find that these BFG tyres are no longer made/imported into the UK.

Tyre choice on 15" wheels extremely limited these days, and make sure that whatever you find, it has the correct speed rating, as I suspect that only low speed rated tyres could be available.

Re: Tyres

Should have been paying attention at Le Mans Classic! Plenty of cars on 15" rims there and plenty running Avon CR6Z's - sticky rubber but period look.
I believe Hawk use them.

BF Goodrich Radial TA's are still relatively easy to get - try North Hants Tyres - but low speed rating.

Comp T/A's on the other hand - now that's a different matter

I made a list some time ago of 15" wheels here: http://www.btinternet.com/~scott.akister/tyres.htm
