| Re: What are these things for??? They are for Jacking the car. We don't have them so I have no idea where they fix. The GDs over riders are cosmetic as I understand but I maybe wrong. GM is putting mini monkey to bed so I haven't got anyone to check with at present.

| Re: What are these things for??? They're mainly an american thing, as the UK kits (or at least the GD) doesn't have a chassis strong point that far forward. You'd also struggle to get that through SVA! Yank site has lots more info.. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70258 Quick Jack / Easy jack, same thing.

| Re: What are these things for??? They're called "quick jacks" or "jack pads". Originally fitted to some 427 S/C's and 289 FIA's as well a few 289's. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. On the original cars they were attached to the chassis and were functional jacking points used during pit stops in races. A trolly type thing was inserted under the jack points and the pit crew levered the car off the ground. Apparently they flexed under jacking and caused bends / cracks / stress to the bodywork. I'm fitting them to my cob (eventually) as I'm going for a 427 S/C look (non functional and purely cosmetic). You can buy them from Finish Line in the US. www.cobraaccessories.com

| Re: What are these things for??? KayJayD is right, those are quick jacks and were used during pit stops. If you check out high quality replicas like Kirkham cobras they have work versions (as well as the originals).
