Sierra Handbrake grip

I want to replace the plastic grip on my sierra handbrake.

How does the damn grip come off. The button on the end does not want to budge and if i continue to mess with it i fear i will break something.

So how do i replace my grip for a shiny chrome one.

Also, is this best left until after SVA or can i just fit a SVA compatible one.

Cheers
Jim

Re: Sierra Handbrake grip

Hi Jim

Leave it on until after the SVA then simply cut it off with a stanley knife.

HOWEVER, if you find a shiney release button to put on, let me know where you got it from. I have tried every show and auto jumble that I can and no-one knows where I can get a new button, or a hollow one to slip over the top of the existing one, to match the shiney hand grip !!!

The next step is a completely new handbrake assembly ££££££

Re: Sierra Handbrake grip

We're going to fit this one after the SVA test, it's quite expensive but far superior to anything else I've seen.

Rich

I think you'll find that they all show the button but none of the kits actually include it !!

Colinb

If I had a lathe I would probably do just that however, are you volunteering ??? If so, how much and how soon
