Donnington Kitcar Show

Hi all,

Am thinking of going to the Donnington show in a couple of weeks; what are everyones thoughts on this show, is there a good turn out of cars, manufacturers stalls etc?

Regards,
Martyn

Turn out is usually second to Stoneleigh, ie. good.

Re: Donnington Kitcar Show

IMHO they have ruined the venue since all the grass parking immediately outside of the hall is now given over to imported second hand jap cars. Very little space available to the visiting cars, convenient space that is.

Since it is only 15 minutes away from home, though, it is difficult to miss!

You are a bit out of touch there Wilf Or is it an age thing with your memory beginning to fail We now park infield which is a vast improvement on previous years which as Wilf said they had slowly been destroying the parking. It was really good last year with a really good view of the circuit and any race activities that is going on. I will be there both days and the East Mids Meet will be there on the Sunday so if you are there make your self known. :thumb:

I am going on the Sunday and i think some of my Walsall mates will be too. Didn't make it last year; set out to go there but gearbox failed spectacularly on the journey.

Cheers.

Re: Donnington Kitcar Show

I thought it was a very good show last year and the infield parking was a great improvement on previous years.

Not as many parts exhibitors as Stoneleigh but having cars going round the track makes it a better show for me.

Tink - you are absolutely right - somehow I had completely forgotten that. Mind you, I actually did prefer the "old" way of doing things - being out on the infield is good, and is where I always go for race days etc at Donnington, but it is a long way from the exhibition hall etc.

As you say - must be an age thing..........................

Re: Donnington Kitcar Show
