| Re: New AC - a Smart move or not? Its a shame the AC name has been through so much over the years. It is now nothing more than a name that had a good reputation in the 60's as a low volume producer of sports cars. I still don't see how anybody can call any cobra built after the 60's an original cobra, regardless of whose badge is on the front. The ones now being built in Malta are just over priced replicas. I personally would not touch one and would rather build a very good kit version. I never call my car an AC replica. To me it is a Shelby cobra replica. He was the one that made the cobra the legend it is today!! Rant over.... Craig.

| Re: New AC - a Smart move or not? I don't think it would be possible to separate AC from Shelby and Shelby from AC, if you did you wouldn't have the car everyone seems to like so much. Without AC Shelby wouldn't have had a platform to work with and without Shelby AC would have been another 60s sports car. I don't see why AC would bother with Smart to be honest. Craigs definitely right about the 'new' ACs, they should stop because it just isn't right. John
