Sidepipes

Hi all, as I`m not in the position to buy a ready made bolt on system I was wondering what the options on Cobra sidepipes where (just the sidepipes) in chrome or stainless.
Has anyone found a real cheap deal for top quality pipes? is it worth looking around in the states? and if anyone bought a chrome set that feel apart at the first sign of rain now`s a good time to vent your spleen!

RE: Sidepipes

You could start by contacting Custom Chrome.

Or Europa (Who are supplied by custom chrome. Works out cheaper than going direct! I saved over £200 on my 4" pipes and protectors)

RE: Sidepipes

Ah, so there`s a fair difference in price then, Russ, those stainless jobs look the part, how much did they cost you in total?

RE: Sidepipes

It's a bit of a long story but - I was dating an American girl at the time and used to fly over to Dallas every 3 or 4 weeks for a long weekend (she got free flight tickets). So I had them shipped to her house then bought them back as normal lugage - American Airlines were very accomodating at the time (don't think they would be now though!). Coming through customs in the UK I estimated their value incorrectly as they were a 'birthday present' from her and obviously I didn't know their cost - so paid only £50 duty. Then had the individual header tubes made to measure on the car by a company in (Rotherham?) to joiin up the gap. Did have real trouble finding anyone who would work in stainless though (flanges and pipes). Headers were about £800, sidepipes worked out about £1100 with exchange rate at the time.
