Jag Springs

I understand the excitement of removing jag springs with flamethrowers, grinders and chain saws, but I took the advice of Rich and made up a Jag type tool, for the XJ40 springs.

I used 600mm of 20mm threaded rod, and an 8mm bolt for the T part, then made up a hardwood wedge to get the angles right.

Easy and safe.

As you can see from picture 1057, even with the bottom pan well clear, there is still tension, but the kit builder remains calm.

Plain blue carpet in the garage looks ok but I'm saving up for some Axminster.
