Pilgrim Sumo Owners

Hello, is there anyone in theNorth Worcestershire/Herefordshire/South Shropshire area who has a Pilgrim Sumo that I could come and have a look at. I have a half finished project and I would like to have a look to see how the interior mainly is finished properly.

Thanks. Chris

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

Chris I'm miles away (Newcastle) so not much help in that department but I can take a few photos of our interior and put them on here for you to have a look at if you want. We've deviated a bit from what Pilgrim normally do and have a few things I haven't seen any other people with that might give you some ideas.

John

Thanks John, I would be very grateful if you could post some pictures of the interior on the website.

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

sorry for the delay. The light quality in the garage isn't at it's best so sorry if the picture quality is a bit rubbish. I've attached pictures of the steering wheel, centre console and door handles we've used. We're using temporary carpet till we've had the thing painted so ignore that! I also didn't get the seats as they were covered but we have Richfield ones in cream with blue piping.

Apart from that that's how it should look when finished.

oh and I just noticed the black screw cover on our jaguar door handles has come out, you shouldn't be able to see that screw head!

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

Thanks for the pictures - they look really good. The clock is a good idea and I like your steering wheel. The door handles are a good idea instead of right down the bottom. Do you have door handles on the outside of your door?

Thanks Chris

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

Chris glad the photos were of some use! We don't have door handles on the outside, just the ones on the inside. I think it might spoil the lines of the car with handles on the outside.

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

John, I;ve got a set of thoe Jag handles, and b*ggered about for ages trying to make them fit.
How did you mount the plastic/chrome surround? I got the lever mounted OK, but because the original is I think mounted on wood rather than sponge/leather, I couldnt get then fit the surroind and make it sit neatly. So ended up going back to the crap cortina items.

Any tips, as I still have the jag ones.

Kevin

Re: Pilgrim Sumo Owners

Kevin I'll look for the photos we took when fitting the handles which is better than me trying to describe it.
