Le Mans Regional Meet

As we have most of the CRC down at Le Mans this year in various guises, I have taken it upon myself to get a meeting sorted. I have copied a previous post below.

CRC used to meet at the supermarket at the end of Mulsanne Straight, I can remember getting soaked down there one year.

The only question is when would you like to meet, Friday evening at 18:00 or Saturday at 12:00, I would suggest the Saturday as that is when we will all be there, than we can go on to the circuit enmasse.

Further to my message about the supermarket; I am keen to meet but probably won't be in Le Mans by 6/00pm on Friday and I think your target of 12/00 on Sat. is a bit late.....you may struggle to get parked before the start of the race! Why not try about 8/00pm on Friday.
I am with a group of 16 this year & I am the only Cobra so I will have to abandon the others while they go out for dinner; I doubt they will want to come to the supermarket.

I am coming down with a bunch of guys who meet at the Grasshopper in Kent, I'm not sure how many Cobra's are in our group ( at least four ), but please keep us post on time and location and I'm sure CRC Rep. Ron Clarke will be delighted to lead his troop to the front line.

Look forward to meeting you all, as my Dax Cobra should be on the road this weekend if all goes well with SVA on saturday ( everything crossed ).

The weekend of 16th /17th June would be a good time to go; other weekends could be a bit lonely. The meet is on the Friday night 15th June.

Hi Guys,
Just got back an hour ago from a trip to France and last week I went through Le Mans. Two things:
1) I couldn't identify the supermarket that we met at 5 years ago! it is just off the bottom of the Mulsanne straight somewhere; but anyway;
2) On Friday night between 5pm and 8pm it is the "Parade des Pilotes" in the town centre. Now I've never got there early enough to see this before but I am attempting to get there in time this year (earlier shuttle crossing on Fri. morning); so perhaps the best place to try to meet is in the car park next to the Place des Jacobins and at the foot of the hill with the cathedral on it. What do you think? There are two or three bars at the back of the car park right under the cathedral hill. I will try to park there about 5pm (I'm always optimistic) in my green BRA 289 reg: 331 UEA.
Be pleased to see anybody there............and I want to see the parade!
