Does anything happen in Hampshire/West Sussex?

Alas I must move. To date, I have lived in East Sussex and enjoyed the comradeship of a number of people in the East Sussex/Kent/Croydon area. Infact they appear to be the main players on the CRC website/forum always ensuring events are happening, fully supported by some from the Midlands/South West England.

In view of my move to West Sussex/Hampshire border I do not know of any activity in this area, nor are there any posted other than the Goodwood breakfast. Could some one give me some idea as to what goes on in West Sussex/Hampshire, or should I continue East?

Sorry to hear you are moving away The West Sussex/Hants meet is the Last Sunday of the month at 10.30am at the Cafe (inside) Goodwood Circuit. Moving on to another venue at Lunchtime. Good Luck

Thank you Chris for your reply, ironically from the South East of England again. Although Christopher and I will be attending the Chiddingly meet this week, we see nothing to move onto. Liz and yourself have been very welcoming to us, so much so we came to Brands Hatch and enjoyed the whole atmosphere (Know what I mean).

We have tried to find information about the Hampshire/West Sussex area and have found little information. It appears to me that the active members of the CRC are based in the SE area, not only only forum but also in activity. I have no wish to wind people up, but actions speak loader than words in my book.

We will try to get to Chiddingly next week (forgot it was on) Hants/West Sussex is not a million miles from the SE meets If you feel the need :thumb: And the A27/A23/A25 isn't a bad road

Yes,

The area organiser is Dave Harper (details can be found in Snake Torque) and we meet up around 11:00 on the last Sunday of every month at the Flying Club Cafe inside Goodwood Race Circuit.

At around 12:00 we head off for lunch at differing pubs every month. We usually get a good crowd with up to 20 cobs attending (depending on the weather).

Dave organises trips to Cobra racing and we usually go as a group to either the Le Mans Classic or to the Ring

It would be great to see you there with the rest of the crowd.

Hi Robin,

Thank you for the message. I have given Dave N my details for his register for SE,as I did with you when we met at Brands. I have every intention of keeping in touch with you guys and I hope that we will meet up again, as and when time allows us to.

My move means starting all over again in decorating from top to bottom and worst of all knock out a wall for the Cobra to go in the garage!

I'm getting too old for all of this.

I've not been to many SE meets this year and even missed Brands, so decided to visit the Hants/West Sussex crew.
The entrance to Goodwood through the tunnel is awesome. Loads of stuff to see inside too. Had a brief chat with a few of the people there (15+ Cobs) before we set off for a meal and a drink at a pub that was on the road home back to East Sussex. I was made very welcome and enjoyed the day very much - nice roads to blast along. Thanks to Bruce, Don & Anne(i think - I'm terrible with names), Gerry, Vernon, Mike, Frank & Colin plus the others whose names I didn't catch for welcoming a foreigner from over the border.
