Re: SVA test booked....

Good luck with it Ben. Have you got much to do?

How long has it taken you to get to this stage then? I'm HOPING to get mine in around April/May time next year which will be 18 months build time. I'm getting impatient now.

Re: SVA test booked....

Hi Kev, cheers for the luck, Im probably gunna need it.

Much to do....mmm well....mmmm.....could say that, it seems to take me alot longer to do things than it should but Im hopeful if I pull my finger out i'll get there.

Im just about to finish the carpeting (how horrid is that spray on glue!!!), but got a fair bit of tydying up and making things work yet.

Im just about to gointo my 5th year of having the chasis, but I started with my engine in Feb 2002, so its been a while....Sort of pissed off/ excited /wondering whats Im gunna do next, at the moment , oh and nervous as well I was hoping to have it done for last summer but things take as long as they take I suppose...

Good luck with yours, dont let the nasty weather put you off...

cheers
Ben

Re: SVA test booked....

I'm sure you'll be fine with a bit help from the lads on here who've already done it.

It would take me longer than five years if I was doing the engine too, take my hat off to you lads who build your engines, didn't have the bottle myself.

Keep us updated Ben, love hearing about SVA passes :thumb:

Cold garage floors don't bother me and it won't slow down the build, I'm a hard northern lad

Ben. Congratulations on getting to the booking stage :thumb: I found it promted me into action as regards finishing things. If you haven't already done it? I found it usefull to write a list of all the "jobs to do", (Add to it as you think of them) It's amazing how quick you can do, and cross things off the list when you have a purpose/deadline

I did this and managed to get up to 120 things which needed doing but it was an invaluable exercise which helped no end :thumb: :thumb:

Good luck :drive: :drive:

Re: SVA test booked....

Good luck with the test Ben.

If you have the Dax carpet set you are going to regret using the spray glue. I stuck my carpets in temporarily with spray glue and the first time it saw the sun it all fell off with a sticky mess left behind. I have now re-carpeted the whole thing using the brush on glue in a tin. Apparently it's something to do with silicone in the backing material?

Sorry to tell you this now....

Craig.

Re: SVA test booked....

My carpets have been on for 4 years including numerous trips in Europe and the carpet has never fallen off. Don't worry Ben just because craggle's carpets fell off does not mean yours will :thumb: :drive:
