New Vehicle

At first glance I thought this item was a wind-up…………..but having checked it is apparently deadly serious. Texas based WCM makers of the wonderful Ultralite S2K LSIS type car have really taken the Colin Chapman theory of ‘lightweight equals horsepower’ to the absolute extreme with their new ‘Minimalistic’ model. As you can see there really isn’t much weight there at all and yes that is a Honda S2000 engine at the front! According to WCM the car is designed to fit in the back of your car for ultimate fun! With that engine it must go like the proverbial Exocet. Price for the Minimalistic is just $675 (approx £465) and unbelievably they have what they call ‘Minibusa’ on the way, which is the same as the Minimalistic, but with yes, you guessed it a Suzuki Hayabusa engine.

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

RE: New Vehicle

Nice one Rob.
The 'car' seems to remind me of the one Bob Hoskins had in the film Who killed Roger Rabbit? (I was subjected to it twice last week when my daughter was ill!)
Just a small point though doesn't your post have to be before 12 noon on 1/4/03?

Cheers

Richard

RE: New Vehicle

Nice try Rob.

Keeping a 'low profile' springs to mind.
