Graham

I've got Gaz shocks on my Chevy AK, I got the settings from Ken at AK, I found the settings to soft, It all depends on your style of driving, I prefer it a little on the stiff side, (the shocks that is ) start soft and keep turning up a couple of clicks till you feel happy with the cars handling.

Hi Miket

Thanx for the advise, i adjusted them up 8 clicks and they seem great,
now i have to adjust the ride height again as they have settled down.

A pleasure to drive now.

HAPPY BLASTING

RE: Gaz Shocks ?

Hi Graham Just finished my AK and was advised to set the shocks at 12 clicks on the front and 10 on the back ! I believe that this is what Ken advises with a RV8 in. Got the MOT today and it drove really great ( my first drive)Garage ouly 50 yards from my house but I had done 20 miles by the time I got home.

Graham, don't forget with Jag set up every time you alter the ride height at the front you will have to re-track the steering! Eric.

RE: Gaz Shocks ?

Hi Graham.
Dax recomend one full turn clockwise per shock, this seems to be fine for road use, any stiffer and the car will probably start to skip about.
Your car will have an anti roll bar so you don't need to go any stiffer.

Hi Mary.
You only need to re set the tracking if your car suffers from bump steer.{-}

Hello Daisy, As I understood it, on the Jaguar front ends confirmed by Cheng Lim, altering the ride height on the front as the wishbone arms don't fit parallel to the chassis, will alter the tracking. I have obviously got that wrong then? Mary

RE: Gaz Shocks ?

There is more to suspension geometry than just the angle of the wishbones, but with the right components in the right place it is possible to acheive zero bump steer, which means that you can alter ride height without it affecting the toe.

Okay Dave enough said, you would know better than I on the subject. I suppose as you say if every thing is in the right place caster (King Pin inclination) and camber & all is taken from the center of the wheel that factor would not come into it Eric
