Passed Sva At Last

At Last I have the golden ticket.

The DAX passed the retest on Friday15th, the 4 failures were front indicators too low, speedo under reading, handbrake low effort (12%) and exhausts too loud (109db).

Exhausts now 98.4db after stuffing with wire wool and chicken wire, Mark's (Fat Boy Northern) pipes with the patented SVA end cap.

hand brake 20% but will hopefully get better once the pads have bedded in.

Unfortunatly the good ole DVLA are not doing inspections untill the new year, so I cannot enjoy my week off over the holidays by driving the car.......unless 5 mot retests???

Congrats John.
Have you tried contacting other DVLA centres to see if they can inspect/register your car before the New Year. After all it only takes about ten minutes and you can drive there so it's a good excuse for a run!

I thought driving to/from DVLA office was a grey area legally?(Driving to/from SVA and MOT being acceptable ?)
Probably best to book an MOT at a garage close by to be sure(even if you don`t turn up) :thumb:

You don`t have to be mental to build a kitcar - but it definitely helps.

There has been great debate about this on previous posts. Don't ask the DVLA as they have nothing to do with the law. Check with your local police traffic department. I phoned all the Scottish Divisions and they all agree that as long as an appointment has been made and the vehicle is insured then it is legal to do so.:drive:
