Factory Five Daytona

Just got back from a nice blast up to Anthony's (Chimera) just to check how is new workshop is coming along (well you have to have a purpose to take the Cob out)

Looks good and should soon be ready for the grand opening, can't wait, free booze and food Ant

Anyway, just thought I'd post some pics of a Factory Five Daytona he is building for a customer, looks to be well engineered, nice car.

Good job it's being painted. Those flash lines look huge!:thumb:

I assume the customer specified the seats. Don't seem to suit the car somehow.

Rest of it looks good though.

Craig.

Re: Factory Five Daytona

Mike thanks for the comments, yeah certainly free booze and food on the open day which shouldnt be to far away hoping mid march for the big day. Plans are to have a kit car magazine present for an ditorial, a raffle for cobra related services and painting etc and a general cobra related get together.

Anyway back to the present, yeah customer requested the seats they are overall quite comfy once in and do look better with the plastic covers off. Flash lines aside once the USA to EU conversions are finished and its complete this chassis and kit is superb. Not one for the faint hearted but once figured out not to bad to assemble either.

Re: Factory Five Daytona

Actually, there are two more Factory Five Daytona Coupes in the country - one in Cheltenham and one near Oxford. Both in build, both being converted to right hand drive, but looks like the one Anthony is building will be on the road first though. Those seats are optional, not standard.

Nice premises by the way, popped down there myself last week - most impressed. Mine will be going down there fairly soon too, I hope.

Ian
