Corsa C Bespoke Boss

I have just fitted the Corsa C power steering column, I need a bespoke Boss made, Mota-Lita only do standard ones. I know Dax sell a Corsa B but this wont fit.

Can anyone recommend a company that will make one to my spec?

Thanks

Dave

Re: Corsa C Bespoke Boss

Why won't a standard mota lita one fit? They fit on Corsas.
There is a difference between ones that had an airbag and ones that didn't but I think if it had power steering it is air baged.
Please let me know what you do as I have my c-column waiting to be fitted.

You are correct the momo one fits but I wanted one that looks like the cast polished Ali.

The size is for the standard 14" rim for the Aly / Wood wheel.

Thanks

Dave

I also forgot to say I'm not using corsa switch gear thats why a standard boss won't fit.

Cheers

Hi Griff,

Will it help if I say that I have used the RAID hub number 16073 KIT?

But those are prepared to accept only the RAID Airbag steering wheels. They have four bolt connections that are not equal distributed.
Therefore I did use the lathe and made some transition piece and small modification to the hub.

Probably you can use an Opel steering wheel center, that is from aluminum and do some lathe work to fit a transition piece that suit your steering wheel.

To have a functional horn you will need also the retractable wire spool (plastic ring) this will also serve as the canceling of your indicator switch.
The best is to collect all the stuff from one source car and don’t forget the Torx bolt too.
The plastic cover is nice and fit in my DAX but the dashboard needs some adjusting (not a big deal)

The big deal is to get the speed sensitive at the right way.
According some “DAX fans” that have spoken with DAX they say that the power assists it too much even at the minimum setup.
But they have an adjusting method that is base in a simple regulating knob.

Now I know that arrange a speed sensor at a Cobra is difficult due to all the different setups of each car. But in my opinion the assist would be fine if you arrange the correct amount of counts for the ECU that adjusts the amount of assist.

This would be my next step to solve.
If one of you guys all ready solve this matter I would appreciate to know it.
See picture of the hub setup and also of the drawing that I made for it.

Regards,
Cobra289

Hi Griff,
I hope that I can make the first run in April but that is the optimistic schedule.

If you find something interesting regarding the adjustment let me know.
I have at the gearbox TKO600 an speed sensor but the counts per revolution is incorrect, it has a 17 teeth reluctor. According to my calculations, that includes the diff ratio and tire diameter, I will need a reluctor of 10 teeth.

So I am looking for a count adjusting electronics, that reduce by a adjustable determined ratio.

Keep in touch via PM or here so that we can have a nice and properly working EPAS.

Please not at the drawing that the 6 bolts diameter is for a Nardi steering wheel, for other wheels need to be changed.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Cobra289 (Carlos)
