What type of “car horns” are recommended and legal.

The horn on my Cob has all the grunt of a mini in its last throws of life.

I need something which is legal (pass MOT) and gutsy to compliment the 427 cu ins.

If you look on Europa they sell Normal electric horns, Twin sets, Klaxons, Twin/triple airhorns and Trumpet airhorns etc.

Can anyone make any suggestions please

I bought the Mixo twin tone high/low from SVC, they have a good manly sound. :thumb: :thumb:

Re: What type of “car horns” are recommended and legal.

Mine has a horn from a moped (sounds like it). I was wondering about getting a Stebel compact Nautilus twin tone. Apparently it sounds like a deep air horn but its a solid state effort (supposed to be 139 decibels). Haven't got it yet but I think Halfrauds have them for about £25. Anyone else got one of these? What's it really like? I'm sick of the moped horn (I usually just rev up instead - that's 100 decibels.

Hi Doc,I have got a spare horn, I bought the twin tone from VWP but in the end only used one so the other is sat doing bugger all, I thought it is loud enough with one. So apparently does Molly when It stuck on at 0630 one morning. You are not far from me could arrange a run either way.
