If you read the whole of your reply you would know why I didn't sign. The whole thing is pointless.

| Maybe it`s just me being a little sceptical but..... 1. The petition site is a government run website? 2. You must enter a valid email address to sign the petition? 3. Most email addresses can be traced back to a particular private individual? 4. If you were a politician wishing to be re-elected for another term in government and wanted to know exactly who your non voters were (1.9 million of them) wouldn`t it be a good idea to set up a petition type website? At least Bliar knows exactly who to send the next load of bull5h1t propaganda to

| It is now almost two and a half months since 1.8 million people signed this petition and what has happened? Absolutely SFA! Does Blair and his Government think we have forgotten about it?

| Actually Clive, you are wrong. Something has been happening - the Government is continuing to make preparations/design IT systems for road charging. Look for several "local" schemes being foisted upon local government - Manchester/Leicester etc. What price democracy? I don't hear the Blair clone saying that the tories won't do it - do you? So - no opposition worth voting for then.
