WHERE DO I GO TO BUY DECENT STAINLESS SIDEPIPES

Hi I'm in the process of putting a gd together, and have always wanted sidepipes, I know I could have gone elsewhere and this wouldn't have caused nearly as big a headache, but I wanted a GD for whatever reason, now I've seen the one the guy had on the GD stand at Stoneleigh last year and was most impressed which has renewed the idea, but I want a set of pipes as per the sort seen on originals/kirkhams albeit in polished rather than white. It's the shape I'm on about, also when looking at custome chrome or shiny bitz, they all seem to go 4 into 1 into 4 again... I want 4 to stay 4 until after the bend where the pipes exit the side of the sill. Any help, websites, names etc would be gratefully received.
Many thanks.

Mark Boyers (Fat Boy Northern) is your man. Log's on here as "Mark". A pic of mine - http://autos.ninebean.com/cobraclub/...ry&image_id=85

Also Lee Topham, log's on here as ldtopham has fitted identical pipes to those to a Mark IV GD and they look superb.

Dax pipes are individual pipes through the wing then join into the side pipe outside the car.
May not be the look you after but they are nicely made.

Take a look at the links below to my pictures.

Craig.

I currently have Dax pipes fitted but am in the process of changing for more authentic looking ones. Mark Boyers pipes look fantastic and many people recommend him. I am taking my car to him this Friday (250 miles so hope it is dry!!) so should be another satisfied customer in a few weeks.

You wont regret it Brian, the lad is an incredible perfectionist. I saw my pipes throughout the various phases of fabrication but was still blown away by the finished article - top class and a nice lad to boot. You'll realise why he fits them to each specific car when you see the attention to detail.

Brian

Is he fitting them there and then or is it just to be measured.

Mark with have the car for approx 3 weeks. Going to fit the exhausts then I will drive back. Having a custom rollbar made too in stainless to match the pipes.

I think my brothe-in-law is just finishing a set of original pattern side pipes. They may be up for grabs. He's known as Steve-Art on this forum.

Incidentally, I was the one who worked out how to build them. I supplied Steve with a scale drawing. He then did lots of hard work perfecting them. then passed on the relevant know how to Fat Boy Northern. Both guys do an increadible job.

They are well appreciated by anyone who wants as near to original as possible.

I know an awful lot if time goes into making them. I think that's why professional manufacturers don't follow that pattern, because it would make them very expensive.
