| Hi Mitchy. Welcome to the CRC forum. I'm 6'3" (And 16 stone) and I haven't found a production car that the steering wheel does not rest on my legs yet. The only way around the dash problem is to have a dash that does not drop down to the transmission tunnel in the middle. There will never be as much room in any Cobra as there is in a Bentley but generally the Dax and the Pilgrim (I have found) have more leg space that the others.

| Hi Mitchy, I have a Cobretti that was modified at build stage to make the footwell 2 inches longer. If you are buying a kit it shouldn't be too much trouble to lengthen the footwell a bit, but if you are buying a complete car you might have to search around for one with a tall owner! Regards, Alex |

| footwell Lucky bastards I'm 5ft 6"& 11 stone and when driven on a demo round Brands Hatch, in a Pilgrim I could only grip the edge of the seat and search for the footwell!!!!!!!!!! I'm having very thick carpet in mine when trimmed. Tony |

| Mitchy - try a Crendon. I am 6'3, 171/2 stone, and am very comfortable in mine, although to be honest, I use a much smaller dia steering wheel than the "original" to help ease access. The lighter steering on a Crendon lets you do this without making it a bear to turn. The car has good width footwells, acres of legroom, and the authentic-shape dash (flat, straight bottom edge) means no knee banging. Excellent Crendon for sale privately just now if you are interested, (not mine I hasten to add) or go see John Kerr at Crendon nr Bicester.

| Mitchy, There's a Dax for sale in the classifieds. It's fitted with the Dax long footwell option. It should fit you easily. How do I know?.....It used to be mine! Simon http://www.ninebean.com/friends/clas...duct/23/cat/55 |

| Cobras and tall people! I have found the Ram to have plenty of leg room, as I am 5 11" but I am not using all of my footwell, as I have boxed my pedals back several inches, Another driving position issue is to mount the steering wheel, to allow for plenty of knuckle clearance to body, and as high up without impairing your vision, so there is plenty of leg clearance, also a 14" diameter wheel in my opinion is the most practical. A lot of builders put little effort into the driving position and then wonder why their cars are hard to drive on the race track, or road...........!
