Brake / indicator lens markings

Can anyone tell me what markings are supposed to on indicator and stop/tail light lenses.
If i understand draft SVA, markings are to be E11? I have a pair of plastic red lenses with absolutely no writing on, i suppose these are not SVA safe.
Also i have a pair of clear glass lucas indicator ones with no lettering on.
Cheers
Kevin

This seems to be a rather grey area. Some of the suppliers say that you do not need to have any markings and some do. My opinion is that it is best to have ones that are marked so as to be on the safe side and amber indicators on the front. I wouldn't risk a fail because of it.

I only ask now, cos we are off to stoneleigh tomorrow, so may as well buy everything we need at the show.
So i will buy 2 brake light lenses tomorrow.I will use the 4 orange lenses for now and put 2 lucas white ones on after the SVA.
Cheers
Kevin

I think??? That the SVA manual says that the lenses have to emit the same light as "E" marked ones. It does not say tha the lights do actually have to be "E" marked.

Thanks Dave
Looked around and spoke with a couple of people at Sroneleigh. A lot have passed with same lights are ours, so that is how ours will be tested.
Cheers
Kevin
PS You looked to have a lot of attention on Sunda as we passed you on your stand.

You must have passed by at the same time as everyone else did. This year the show was slightly worse than last year....Which was cack!
Most people passing my stand were heading off to the toilets to vomit due to the sight of the yellow carpet that the organisers decided was ideal for an event of this type. WTF was going on in their heads, that's what I want to know. Me thinks it has something to do with $$$$$, or the saving of it.

Hi Dave
I did see the yellow carpet on stands and thought of the lack of practicality, am i getting old?
I recon you ought to get a £1 per min phone line to offer advice, you would be minted by now. I realy admire your attitude, i only wish your customer service commitment would rub off onto the other factions in society (eg ISPs and computer companies) that think the customer is not important .
Cheers
