My update

Well the white board only has a few jobs left to do! I need to fit a new sump gasket, O/S mirror, rear view mirror, SVA steering wheel, column surround to make, move reflectors further out, make some baffle plates for side pipes.....er......blimey that's not a lot! Here are the latest pics. Quite a lot of the parts are SVA friendly I may change items such as dash and lower edge pad, switch panel on transmission tunnel, fog light, reflector position, headlights, and mirrors. I have some spinners, quicklift pads, harnesses, gear lever, O/s mirror, steering wheel and other period parts.......all these will only be fitted/changed for show purposes of course

You are getting there Lee - don't forget to check and double check every potential SVA fail point - maybe invite some local CRC members around to "double double check" everything (I think we found about 100 things for Tinka, but he did pass!)

Thanks fellas. I have already invited a few Club members around to check it out, the neighbours kids climb all over it testing the build quality and I was thinking about posting some pictures just prior to SVA on here something along the lines of 'Spot the SVA fail points'. Hopefully there wouldn't be a winner but if there was they would get the smart arse award!

The SVA isn't a worry. I have made many changes from how a standard GD is built. If it fails it fails, I'll fix it and get it through the second time I'm going to get my mate to do a pre SVA mot inspection and give it a real good going over.....a good excuse to stretch it's legs and bed the brakes in etc.

It's amazing how it draws people, even the street folk I have never spoken to in the 6 years we've been here make excuses for conversation just to have a peek! What will it be like when it's on the road

Stunning Lee Nice wheels BTW One small point! You might want to turn the bonnet lock cams through 90 degrees so that the handles point outwards for Sva. Stops the sphere contacting the base of the lock

Yeah they're nice arn't they Good tip on the bonnet handles as I would have overlooked that. The rear refelctors are beyond 400mm in from the rear arch so they need moving too.
