Break Tubing

Hello Guys

Can anyone please tell me if i have got the correct (SVA legal) break tubing. I bought the tubing from Stoneleigh the other weekend, it's packaged as Copper Brake Tubing, manufactured by Autogem. It says it conforms to BS 2871 PT2 C106, SF-CU. Is this the correct type of tubing or have i been done !!!

Thanks Guys

Regards Allan

RE: Break Tubing

Allan

The up to date standard for brake tubing is BS2871 Part 3 C106/CN102.

The tubing you have purchased is ok.

RE: Break Tubing

Ben

SVA will not check the standard or quality of your brake piping, they will check that is secure and the clips are a maximum of 300mm apart.

It is in your own interest that you check that the brake pipe carries a BS number, I wouldn't have thought that suppliers would sell it without a BS number, but you never know.
