Shoreham Airshow

Last year I went to Shoreham airshow near Brighton, West Sussex.

I was surprised to see a display of cobra replicas and after speaking to some of the owners found out they were members of the Cobra Replica Club. I never heard anything about this on the forum or in the Magazine beforehand meaning participation would have been difficult!

Is anyone planning to put on a display this year and is it a Cobra replica Club event or a just a local kitcar group gathering?

We have never done this show, so it wasn't our lot. I seem to remember three years ago the west sussex lot doing an air show and we couldn't get in to see them.
They don't seem to publish what they are up to. Have a look in snake torque and give there rep a ring I'm sure if they are doing this show you would be welcome.

That will be the West Sussex/Hampshire Crew (they don't tend to post much on here) Let me know if you are going as it's only 10 mins down the road from me Assuming I don't go to Donington! (Same weekend)

Thinking about it maybe it wasn't last year. Could have been 2-3 years ago. I remember I was looking for paint colours at the time and asked every blue car owner what shade it was and took a photo. Last year the car was in the paint shop so I had already decided on colour.

I will look for the reps number and maybe try them.

I received a PM this evening from a chap called Steve in Burgess Hill.

He said that the organisers of Shorham airshow had not invited any cars to the event this year so I guess I won't be going in the Dax.

Sorry about the air show.
The grasshopper is only 20miles / 30mins away from Dorking. You more than welcome to join in anything we do.
Club meet this sunday followed by a drive down to Bewl water and picnic.

Hi Craig,

The Hants and West Sussex group meet at Goodwood race circuit this Sunday at 10.30 am and then move on to a local for a pie and pint. You'd be more than welcome to come down and meet up with this friendly group, just as the South East crew are.

I will try to get to some of the local meets one day. Goodwood sounds nice as I have never been to the circuit, Only the house for the festival of speed.

Dave. The drive to Bewl water sounds nice too, but I have tickets for Dunsfold wings and wheels day this Sunday so will be going there.
If the weather is good on another meet day I will try to get along to meet you all.
