| Olde Timer Grand Prix - Nurburgring, Germany Today I have enjoyed an outstanding day at the Nurburgring with 91 cars from the German CRC. Weather was great, the cars racing on the track were superb - everything from Cobra 289s to ERAs Lola, Elans, Bentleys from the 1030s through to the 70s', and the hospitality of the club was superb. An enormous marquee with breakfast lunch and BBQ served at reasonable prices with free camping in the club area just 200 meters from the track. Also there are many good hotels in the hilss around the @ring too if you don't fancy camping. The driving in the arae around in the 'Ring is great, and tomorrow I will be taking my car out on the old 22 km track that is not now used for racing. Guys, you just have to get over here for this one next year. Le Mans was good fun but this is superb. See you next year. Nigel B

| RE: Olde Timer Grand Prix - Nurburgring, Germany Yes, Nigel I said it would be good. The best race meeting, I think; marvellous cars, great circuit, especially the old one alongside which at £7 for a 15 mile / 22km thrash compares well with track days. And to cap it all, the Eifel hills (mountains in winter, I suppose) are the best roads to drive on that I know Really nice hotels round about at £35 per night for two make it highly recommended.
