KArcher pressure washers

Can anyone recommend one for general car/mountain bike cleaning.

It has to be powerful enough to clean off brake dust, etc. on alloy wheels.

Any particular model number or power rating would be great.

A sponge, bucket full of hot soapy water and a wheel cleaning brush is cheaper and so much more effective for proper cleaning (kinder to the things youre cleaning too).My (overpriced) jet/pressure washer gets used about once a year, if that. Wouldnt buy another.

I agree, the last thing you want to take to a road or mountain bike is a pressure washer, I wouldn't even recommend Muck Off as it is so damaging to special finishes, I use Autoglym MotorBike Cleaner gently agitated with a soft brush then hosed down with a fine "shower" setting on my hose, very easy work. Also excellent for car wheels as won't damage the wheel finish. A pressure washer never really cleans car wheels properly and mine only gets used for cleaning paths or the Land Rover after off-roading!

Thanks for your "views" but my original question still stands.

I know cleaning/washing my Cobra by hand is better, but that's not the point.

In addition, I have a bike shop and l agree, l wouldn't use one on my own £5k Merlin Ti, but l do need one for our demo fleet.

So, anyone else willing to recommend something?

Well sorry but I only gave my opinion in good faith as I thought it was the friendliest thing to do.
Buy the cheapest one; why spend £100 to ruin the bottom bracket bearings in your demo bikes when £70 will do it

on a different topic it did remind me of years ago watching a local put his almost new Honda CB250G5 in the car wash then letting it do its stuff; hilarious, but being a honda it still started after hed picked it up (the car wash knocked it off its stand)

Just bought a pressure washer for £20...

...I've learnt 2 things:

1) Pressure washers are FUN - you can write messages on your concrete driveway in "clean"
2) Landrover paint ain't all that thick...
