Talking It's nearly ready

I called Kirkham Motorsports on Tuesday to ask if they had any idea when I could expect my Cobra to be finished. I was previously told 4-6 weeks, but after that I knew they had a lot of new orders based on their SAAC offer, so I was expecting the timescale to have dropped back to maybe 6-8 weeks, or maybe even longer.
However, when I asked the question to David Kirkham, he replied that it would be ready inside 10 days...."days" not weeks !!

I need to create some space in my garage pretty damn quick

Paul

Paul,

I live the other side of Bosworth, you'll have to give me a shout when she's in residence and I will take a ride over to take a look and drool

You're all more than welcome, but you all be handed a Scotchbrite pad and given instructions on how to brush finish a section of bodywork

Apparently, the engine is also coming along nicely and will be delivered to Kirkham to be put in the same container.

Unlike most Cobra builds, I'll be starting my ownership by dismantling it so that I can brush finish the body.

That's excellent news Paul.
A few more of them and Rob will have to start a new section for the Kirkham in the Tech tips section.

Anybody want one building?

I'm a businessman, I have to build what people will buy. being choosey is not a luxury I can afford, the Cobra game in the UK just isn't big enough.
The Dax customers are an OK kind of crowd, peasants like Oakley, Westborne, Wilburn and Conrod etc. just make it all worth while

Hi Paul, If you can't create any space I'd be quite willing to put it in my garage!

It's rather a long way for me to come to take it for a drive

It would be good to get some more Kirkhams over here though...not too many though eh?
