Jubilation (2 car insurance) and sickened

Hi, A few days ago I asked on here if anyone had insured 2 cobras at the same time, most answers said no but Vee Eight (phil ) said try Hagerty'
I have now covered both cobras with agreed value comp insurance for a very resonable premium.(one policy)
ONE PROBLEM I insured the first car on 26th September 2007 with Sureterm Direct and several days ago asked them if they would cover 2 cars together (told not possible). so as I wanted 2 car cover I would have to cancell the cover with them
This is what I have been quoted to cancell
1-cancelation up to first month=30% of annual premium - 70% returned
2- administation to cancel = £50

W O W

Not to happy about this ---Iv'e only covered 21 miles

So if you have 2 special veh's you know where to go (ask for Phil)

and a very hearty thanks to Phil (vee Eight) for pointing me in the right direction
cheers ---- Pete

Hi Pete,
A lot of insurance companies now have strict penalties for cancellation. This is due to certain unscrupulous folk who take out insurance so they can tax their car and then cancel the insurance as soon as it is taxed!

Insurance

Hi Clive,
I appreiceate that point and think (yes ok) but I was cancelling for a genuine reason (they were asked to offer a service to me that another company could offer )
The 30% for the one month I can accept but not the £50 to cancel,£20 yes that would be acceptable.
cheers
Pete

Pete. Ask them in writing for an "exact" breakdown of the costs involved to cancel. Might just work. It does with the Banks

Seems like once again we, The honest ones, are penalised because of the dishonest ones.

Insurance

Hi Chris,
You could have a point there,I was going to wait for the refund and then check with the financial services authority as I thought there was something about reasonable costs I presume the same as the bank
