| Caprisport do conversion kits that enable you to use mondeo or granada calipers on your existing running gear. As an example for the Cortina based kit, you but their adaptor plate, get hubs modded, then buy sierra cosworth RWD front vented disks and a set of non V6 Mondeo calipers. Website is caprisport.com They recon you can get it up the setup for less than £200 (used parts). Cheers Kevin PS I know they are not as cool as Wilwood / Brembos hanging out the front

| thanks kevin already have the modified hubs and vented discs to make it five stud its just that i dont fancy putting old refurbed calipers on i no yhey would be ok but was just wondering if these had been tried and tested by anyone before i buy them the chassis has now been stripped and i have replaced everything with new parts polly bushes, front suspension is getting chromed chassis is getting powdercoated new springs and shocks have been ordered just waiting on engine to be dlvered so i just think it would be a shame if i didnt spend that extra couple of quid to get it to stop and also look the part this build will hopefully be rolling chassis again prob mid jan and hoping to get it completed by june fingers crossed and thanks and as im ex superbike rider remember the 6 ps perfect, preperation, prevents, piss, poor, performance also if it aint broke then make it faster haha Last edited by vinster; 06-12-07 at 07:58 PM. |

| Hi Vinster When you say the hubs have been modded, what has been done to them? I think you can get new Mondeo calipers still, but by the time you add the cost of them plus the hub mods and adaptor plates, the Wilwoods would nearly be as cheap. Hope you get it sorted Cheers Kevin

| sorry not the hubs, but there is an alloy flange that attaches to the disc wich enables you to go from four stud to five stud i think its a pilgrim part it was already done on rolling chassis when i bought it what do you think of calipers would they be suitable for my sumo because they are a nice bit of kit arent they cheers |

| Hi I'd be inclined to contact the seller or Wilwood and ask them as to the suitability. Also try and find out what diameter / thickness disks the calipers were designed for. I thought all granadas were 5 stud anyway? I am positive that capri, cortina, mondeo, sierra are all 4 stud. You could go down the real cheap route and just paint your calipers Cheers Kevin

| yes kev you are spot on cortina are 4 stud and pilgrim do a kit to make it 5 stud to match the granada rear end dont forget i am running cortina front end granada rear, as you said i have taken measurements contacted seller and they should fit straight on even down to the measurement of mounting holes, so have ordered them £229 calipers £30 pads £15 postage all in £274 because i didnt go through ebay he done them for £250 all in so me happy and it will look and stop ok cheers just waiting for engine to arrive so it can be mocked into chassis then it can be sent to be sorted nearly got all chassis stuff now just debating on what shocks to get |

| Blimey you don't hang about when you get going on buying stuff Dampertech seem good on price and service for shocks. You can convert front of corty setup to coil overs, but you will need to get bottom wishbone plated up to take extra force of spring. I think each damper/spring assembly comes to £110 ish. He said to me if i got the wrong spring value h would swap it for the correct one instead of charging to buy the corrct one. They are based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I have not bought from them yet but seemed realy helpfull on the phone. Dampertech - Gaz Shocks - Adjustable Auto Shock Absorbers Cheers Kevin
