I did it a couple of years ago. It was OK but the route went all over the place and the roads did not really suite Cobs much either. It was a boiling hot day, me and the missus nearly passed out with the heat!

Once you get to Brighton you need to keep an eye on your car, people just seem to think that its OK to man-handle them. I turned my back for a second and when I looked back some fat-arsed bird was sat on the wing of my cob having her picture taken, she was a minger!

I would not do it again but it's nice the say that I did do it once.

HTH,

Pete

Pete,

Noel told me about this incident and it never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people are with other peoples property. If this was America, she would probably have been shot on sight !

Thumbs down

Don't even think about it, as said the route each year is pants and most unsuitable for most kit cars, college of mine went last year @ cost of £75:00 and swore he would never go again I did warn him against it at the time.

Here's the web page for the 2007 event.

Greenwood Exhibitions - London to Brighton Kit & Sports Car Run

£75 per car and they once had 200 cars. Does it really cost 15 grand to lay on this event? If not where do the profits go?

CRC London to Brighton sounds good though.

Craig.

The Landrover crowd seem to manage it for about £20 (I think it was this year).

Their start is at Crystal Palace and includes camping the night before if you want. Admittingly they don't stop off somewhere for lunch and due to the numbers involved we stay to the main roads (avoiding the M23 as far as possible).

Same route each year to avoid congestion...

£75 seems a tad excessive.

Did the LTB a couple of years back - OK once - wont be back - might try and join the Brighton & Hove MC and have a go at the Brighton Speed Trials
