Worlds Cheapest Car

So,

It's (according to the BBC - BBC NEWS | Business | World's cheapest car goes on show) got no electric windows, no air con, no power steering, no air bags the bodywork's made of plastic and it's got a 624 engine.

Bleedin hell, how come i paid so much for a GD with only a 350 engine, when i could get the same spec from Tata for $2500!!!

It's the future.
Stick an electric motor in it and the tree huggers will love it.

lol....tree huggers..... electric motors....just where do tree huggers think electric comes from? I think the future is going to be like the Bugsy Malone film. No guns...just custard pies...very green....and pedal cars...remember the chase?

yes if you work out the losses, turn coal into electricity 40% efficiency tops, charge a battery from said electricity, 20% efficient, turn the battery stored power back into physical energy 45% efficient(?) Whats that add up to? 3% efficiency??

Makes our old clunkers look like smart cars; all electric vehicles do is move the polution from the streets to the powerstations!!

Our "old clunkers" are made from car parts that people threw away ...are they not? More green than any smart car....I can't wait to hit some tree hugger with that one ...one day...maybe at the petrol station

good point I always forget that, imagine how much energy is saved as we re use blocks, cranks diffs etc instead of melting them down and then making new!

We should pipe the tree huggers up to gas power stations, there is usually enough methane coming out of their asses due to those dodgy eco friendly veggie diets to power a small house LOL

(I bound to be lambasted for that outburst...)
