Question Fuel Tank Options

I have a cobra replica which I need to fit a new fuel tank to, can anybody advise what options I have.

I do not know the chassis type ! bit of a mystery at present but its old.

I wish to install the tank in/through the boot floor, the area I have before needing to alter any chassis components is about 80cm side to side X 50cm front to back X 20cm deep, fuel filler (Aston Type) is on o/S rear wing. Ideally I like the top of the tank to sit flush with the boot floor.

I have looked at MGB >1976 but it is to wide (front to back) at 70cm

Any other suggestions would be appriciated

Cheers

Mark T

Hi Mark

Welcome to the Forum.

Any chance of taking pictures to let us see what car you have. We may be able to identify it for you.

Most kit manufacturers make a specific tank for their car. If you measure up what size you have any good fabrication company should be able to make one for you from steel or aluminium sheet.

Craig.

I agree with Craig, most fabrication firms would be able to make you up something to your exact dimensions etc, probably best in Ali though!
