Rockingham

Steve and Martin from the East Midlands Region have arranged for some of us to do a parade lap at Rockingham on 27th. I’ve just been looking at their site to get directions and this is going to be an awesome day out.

Days of Thunder Meet including:
ASCAR Racing
Pick up Truck Racing
Blue Eagles Air Display team
Stunt Display
Liberty X performing live
Plus fairground, passenger rides kids quad bike rides and loads more

And the best bit is 22 of us doing a parade lap in the Cobras in front of 50,000 spectators :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu
Its at Rockingham Raceway on 27th July, the following link has more details

RE: Rockingham

Sounds like we should have a good day.
I've seen the Blue Eagles a couple of times at Silverstone they're good, first time I ever saw a helicopter do a complete loop the loop.

I assume that as we're only doing a cavalcade we don't require crash helmets?

Just a thought, any idea Tinka?

The weather still looks OK too for Sunday, 24 degrees and dry according to the BBC.

RE: Rockingham

Hi Kev, no we don't need crash helmets( and mirrored sunglasses are a bad fashion statement),which is just as well as you can hardly pose with a crash helmet on. {-} {-} {-}
I spoke to someone the other day who was saying that if it rains then the As-car race won't happen :f :f :f :f Well I phoned them up at Rockingham and checked this out and was told that in the past this has happened :} :} :} :} But it wont be happening this weekend, "The race will be happening even if it is raining"
So see you all Sunday Morning. :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu :tu

Martin :tu :tu

RE: Rockingham

What are you moaning about Rob? I thought you just had to fall out of bed & you're on the circuit?
Got a heavy saturday night planned?

Cheers
