Regional Forums

As we have a diverse membership, I want to merge the regional forums, I have listed below what I think, but if you guys have a better idea, please let me know.

Scotland
North Wales
South Wales
South
South East
South West
Central
Central East
Central West
North
North East
North West

Any ideas on how I can reduce them further?

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

Hi Robert,

The Regions are as they are at the moment because of where the meetings are held.

As far as I know they are all active and all have their own club reps.

Yes, however I am only talking about the forums here, not the actual regions.

Why bother with regions at all?

Sorry Rob,

I thought the Regional forums were for the individual regions to keep their members informed on topics pertinent to them.

Whats wrong with the way they are at the moment?

Karen

As an example, I live in Northampton and I have the option of posting in 3 different regions, Thames Valley, Midlands, East Anglia.

A central region in this example will allow members to post in one forum, and potentially visit more than one region thereby getting more out of the club then they currently do.

There are other members who live on the cusp on 2 or more regions.

Also, there are far too many forums and they need rationalising.

Everyone is welcome to join in with activities in any region no matter where they live, I have several members from North Wales/Cheshire & East Midlands area who regularly attend Northern events.

I just think it makes sense to have the same regional forums as there are regions to make it easy for people to find the information they require.

Then why not make it even easier for them instead of having them browse through 3 different forums.
