Hello all,

I visit this site daily because I like to read the threads.

I have built two kitcars for my children neither of which are Cobras, but I live in hope. I pay my subs to the appropriate forums/clubs that are relevent to the cars I have built, but I still like to visit other sites because I am interested.

I subscribe to two kitcar Mags so get my fix of paper reading material.

I read the little spat yesterday with regard to the members and visitors rights with a little sorrow, it seemed that visitor and member were being set against each other, this is a shame because this site has always seemed a friendly forum to browse.

A couple of times I have contributed to the site for no other reason than it appeared I had some knowledge that could be of help to others, and that seems to be the norm, it would be a shame if the site was split by the argument of who is a member and who is not.

I would gain no advantage by being a member, at the moment, and I am sure many others feel the same.

Please leave things be as they are.

Kindest regards,

Brian.

Fully paid up member

Hi Rob,
Just checked and found that I'm a supporting member

Thanks for all the hard work and for pushing the right buttons for me

Many regards

Pete

I presume being a Club Supporter is somewhat now higher than being a Senior Member (is this correct !!! )

I don't think it was quite that simple there are two types of member, one who can use the forums fully and ones who can't. Except there are three types of member, guests and two different member types. The difference was whether the subs had been paid on-line or not (there being a £1 difference) but several of us who believed we had paid on-line hadn't been allocated into the group we were expecting.

It may have seen a bit heated but I think the majority had their tongues in cheeks a bit.

It is extremelt difficult to express your feeling properly in a forum, we all have our own ways of saying things and writing them doesn't come over well sometimes.

I write on a multi lingual forum and the confusion there is a lot worse at times. No one should take anything to heart or at first sight take what they think things say.

Rob wasn't around last night which meant things continued soemwhat and I for one posted in the wrong place a couple of times. All seems well this morning

Andi.

I have recently sent out quite a few membership forms on request recently.
Can the guy's contact you with their membership no's.
I understand you put a curfew of a month, but realisticaly can you see Marion being able to get everyone done in time.

I know Peter sometimes visits, maybe he could ask. Or someone on the commitee could answer the question.

Not a moan just a legit question. I am trying to answer the very same question for a soon to be member.
Thanks

And remember everyones a volounteer.

Good points made Brian, and I see your point of view, but by not becoming a member, your situation doen't appear to change for the worse.
You don't appear to need any of the advantages offered here by joining up, so carry on as you are, no worries.

All users can use the forums fully. The question is if you want to be lazy and not delete your PMs, and use more space for attached images etc.

Thats the only difference, PMs and attachments. Every users has full rights to view, post new threads and reply to all threads.

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

Marion should be able to get round to it within a month, if not we can use our combined common sense, between the two if us, we must be able to find some.
