Exclamation Jag Diff input seal Pics vote of confidence required

As suggested please see pics of new and old (the one with slight blemishes from my delicate extraction method !) jag diff input shaft oil seal, before I try and bash the bejesus out of it putting it in I'd like a vote of confidence that this can be used instead of the Old/Original type (looks totally different).

Old OS dia = 80mm IS dia = 47.6mm
New OS dia =81mm IS dia = 45.4mm
Input flange dia = 47mm
Diff case dia = 80mm

Looks OK to me from a size point of view, just looks totally different

Cheers
Mark T

Fairly sure thats the type I fitted to my diff Mark.

You will need a piece of tube or a large socket and carefully try driving it into the diff housing keeping it square and straight.

A bit of grease or oil on the faces may help it slip in easier.

Good luck!

Craig.
