Engine Block Paint

Hi All.

Can anyone advise me on the various engine block painting options that are available? Is it worth getting the block chemically etched? Any info would be really appreciated.
Ps. Does anyone know the RAL number for Ford Engine Block Blue?!

Many Thanks,

Martyn.

RE: Engine Block Paint

You dont need to etch, just pry the barnacles off, use an engine degreasant and if possible, steam clean.

Then us a good engine laquer. I think Eastwoods do the Ford colour, but they also do other colours that will blend in with the sea over here.

Best of luck with it.
Mike.

RE: Engine Block Paint

To be honest I dont know. If its called Engine Laquer it should be O.K. Dont know if its thinner than the Enamel, but I would thinkit can be built up.
