Well youre only here once, so enjoy it thats what I say!!

Remember the old saying; its better to regret doing something than regret not doing it

There's been some very nice GT40 replicas out there recently; although Ive never been in one, I've always imagined they might be a bit cramped or even claustrophbic, and a touch warm inside one a summers day??

Have you tried one/is it true?? Just interested

Have sat in/driven (slowly) two GT40s - a Roaring Forties and a CAV. Both are too damm snug for comfort if you are not a dwarf. Getting in and out is interesting too, as you can't put any weight on the top corner of the 'screen. (Well, you can, but only once). Air con a must.

Definitely do not fit this 6' 3" chap.

Is that purely on height/leg length Wilf or build as well?? I looked at one at Donington, and even for me (slim/gangly 6 foot) it looked a bit fecking tight. For some reason I also felt Id be worried abut what happened when (if) I crashed it, dont know why I worried about that being a motorcycle/racing/parachuting/paramotoring type you wouldnt think I was risk averse, but something made me feel you might get trapped in it somehow if it went a bit pear shaped???

Like your new location but shouldnt it say Volvo metallic blue.....

Eh? EH? Ssshhhhh - not in front of the children.

The GT40s were especially tight on legroom - I was (even) slimmer back then, so ass width didn't come into it!

Thanks Steve, have not sat in one and being a well proportioned type of bloke I might find it a bit of a squeeze, as Wilf says. That yellow one certainly fits the bill though slightly over budget. Have prepared a valentine dinner for my better half, table laid, pink champagne, scollops, fillet steak, the works. I will casually mention selling the cobra. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

oops sorry, I always feel ashamed when I remember its off one of those beastly contraptions...I so hate Volvos (its a motorcyclist thing...)

Hmm didnt realise GT40's were that snug; but then again most of the drivers were jockey sized; with the exception of Shelby I guess!

When I tried sitting in a GT40, I couldn't shut the door without taking the top off my head, like opening a boiled egg.
