Chevy V8

Hi guys im doing it im buying my engine this month. im going for a chevrolet just curious is there a particular age i should be looking for? i know i need pre 93 for sva but i mean build quality n stuff

Matt a block cast before 1/8/1975 would be useful as it would be emissions test exempt. Nice to have but I think getting quite rare these days.

1969 chevy bock here and I love it at MOT time when they go to stick the probe up the sidepipe and you show them the MAC certificate that has N/A in both boxes .............

well i done it i have an engine from adrian of american v8s - great guy -
its currently in my garage on the floor im still in a little shock as i didnt expect it to be quite so big!

.....so what did you buy???! 350, 350 stroker (383etc.) big block 454, 502 or bigger still?

i bought a 350 its got a two piece seal so i know its atleast pre 86 just need to clean it up to age it. my grand plans are to get about 400 hp out of it bit of machining, heads crank pistons the usually probably take me 2 yrs just to pay for engine not including the car itself lol
