Getting my car back

I should be getting the rolling chassis back from the exhaust manufacturers on Saturday with a complete custom fitted, stainless side pipe system. Can't wait to get the bugger started for the first time:tu :tu :tu :tu :tu

RE: Getting my car back

Whats the spec on the pipes/manifolds and who are the makers please. Do they conform to 101 DB noise test?

RE: Getting my car back

Hi Iain, that is great news, you do realize that pictures are going to be required. I'm away all weekend so will try and pop over one night in the week to have a look.

RE: Getting my car back

As I said, the system is stainless (side pipes of course) and should meet the 101dB requirement for the SVA. This chap makes exhausts for many different cars but I am unsure if he is bulk manufacturing them especially for certain kits.

He has done me a deal, in that I am going to get them polished myslef (because I know a man who can) and that way I get them a little cheaper.

The person in question is Mike Grebernik (Tube Engineers Limited at Market Rasen). A very helpful chap who has the ability to sort most problems without charging the earth. The only catch is that you really need to take your car to him and he will make your pipes to fit the car.

I have spoken with him and given him prior warning that as word gets around, he may be getting more and more business. I'm not so sure he wants a load of work but more a steady stream, if you know what I mean.

Hope this helps.

RE: Getting my car back

Dave,

You have the same setup as me, what are you being charged for your exhaust setup (if you don't mind me asking).
