you could treat the shiny new Kirkham to a shiny new tent that will fit into the boot area.

I'm booked onto the Newhaven - Dieppe ferry, going out at 1:00am on Thursday and returning at 1:30pm on Monday.

I'm just going to go and see if the tent fits...fingers crossed

Will you have one of your Cobras on the road ready for Le Mans

All being well yes.

Tim's just needs wheels and trim, the trims arranged and I'm trying to source wheels and tyres that are reasonably priced and not "Halibrand" look alikes. I'd really like some 16" Minilites ( or similar multispokes) but cant find any in our required widths and offsets.

If we cant get Tims ready, and there's no reason why we shouldnt, we'll be taking the Lexus "donor car" thats on Tims drive. So whatever happens we'll be wafting down there in V8 Lexus smoothness and economy.

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Chris,

I'd looked at the LT111 wheels some time ago but I'm not that confident in specifying the correct offsets, especially as those yanks specify in that olde worlde imperial inches measuring stuff........

What did you order offset wise for yours, and what was the additional shipping cost? Looking at the basic wheel price they do seem a bit of a bargain but if I add on shipping/ duty etc it starts to get into Image pricing territory!! ( or am I being unduly negative re importation costs? )

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Tony.
I imported mine over 4 years ago when the dollar wasn't as good as it is now! That said they still worked out cheaper than Image factoring in the Import Duty and Vat, and a quicker service. Lee Topham is probably the man to ask on the current cost If you do decide to go with them I'll dig out the offset information

Thanks Chris,

I've had a further gander and if I do my own polishing of the rims and add on say 23% for importation costs ( transport/vat/duty) they are good value.

Whats the best way to contact Lee Topham?

Cheers,

Tony

guys

could you post the costs on this link when you have them

I am sure a lot of people like me would be intrested in the final total as the Image wheels seem that much more expensive

thanks

steve
