Mike .getrag will be the way i will go.

Noel yes should be at wheels I will not be selling untill after July as the missus and me are doing the big europe tour in july.

Sumo took nearley 3 years to build but most of that was saving pennies and waiting to get things cheap, I'm not a tight arse really just kept on a short reign by SWMBO if I had my way we would sell the house and by a flat with a kirkham outside

Im really on the fence with all this.

Having built Pilgrims mainly, Ak's and Factory 5's it still comes down to the question of how big is your wallet.

At the time of building my very own Pilgrim before setting up a business building Cobras it was all I could afford. I spoke to Pilgrim did the sums and they were very helpful and still are to date. We have had a few issues like mentioned with steering mods etc but I rectify those as standard and do agree that they should be done at the factory as those who dont have my knowledge etc may struggle to overcome the problems on there build.

My Pilgrim had many compliments, out dragged other marques of cobras and in my experience went aswell as any other.

I did however take a ride in an AK and have to agree that they do handle better. I have spoken to the team at AK many times and never have they tried forcing me to part with my money. Having delved even further into discussions with them I to cant find a fault with there customer service and friendliness to help. I have now even taken the plunge and ordered one for myself and as a new demonstrator.

The AK kit goes together the easiest with no hidden mods etc however I can not comment on the Dax having never built one.

It all comes down to personal choice, some like the shape of some kits more than others but what really matters is that whatever kit you have everyone is made to feel welcome. No one should be degraded as to what cobra they have or put down because they can not afford a so called superior kit. After all if someones dream is to own a cobra and only have a budget of £15k why are they any less of a person than someone who has the same dream but a higher paid job and has a budget of £30k. Its horses for courses and we all spend our money where we get the greatest achievement.

For aslong as the government allow us to keep building these cars lets enjoy them and keep them on the road.

Well said Anthony, as I've said before, they are all good cars and no matter which one you finally plump for you will get heaps of fun and enjoyment from it.

And at the end of the day, Joe public can't tell a Sumo from a Kirkham, it's only when you go to meets etc. that people will know
