Stuart speck attached, she will rev to 7,000 in first second and third if pushed. I think she revs like a Cortina lump, as the fly wheel is so light. Thus loosing a bit of torque low down, but quite tractable

As you See I have Crane high rev lifters but you may have a point as I have to turn her over from cold and get the oil pressure up as she will clatter!! Then I give her a couple of pumps on the gas and she is away from cold The springs fitted are Reel Steel full race doubles which don't help, but that was the only way of getting rid of the valve bounce. The cam is a rally cam with power band from £3,000 to 7,000 rpm. I await the bang tinkle sound!!! regards Eric.x(

How do Rhodes lifters (which I have) compare with your Crane items? My flywheel is lightened too & the ol' girl revs like crazy to 7K which I find a bit scary, hence the thought of fitting a rev limiter.
(fortunately my block is a vitesse)}(

Richard, I am not impressed with the Crane lifters even from new. Steel fly wheel comes in at 17:5 lb, but I have a tufftrited crank and standard rods will take 8,000. I never look at the rev counter as I can here when its time to change gear!! Eric

Mines an Armtech(10SS01)in Demon tweeks for 113.75.It also has shift lights and full throttle shift(not connected for the road)It is infinitly adjustable and unlike the MSD units you dont have to buy different plugins for different rev ranges.

RE: Rolling Road RV8

The AK set up wont fit so I've got to find time to sort thru my local motor factor stock to find one that will fit.
