Engine Stands??????

I am just about to buy an engine stand from Machine Mart to rebuild Chevy 350. They do two types, does anyone know if the smaller one will take the weight?

Or

Has anyone in the midlands go one they want to sell / lend?

RE: Engine Stands??????

i went for heavy duty one for the weeight and worked fine. you just need the Unc bolts I think to screw into the chevy flange.

Got one available if you want to borrow (Herts)

RE: Engine Stands??????

Have a look at this one before you go for the machine mart option
Draper 450Kg Engine stand for under £50, bought one for my 383 build and its very sturdy and stable, you'll need some 3/8 UNC hardened bolts to attach

RE: Engine Stands??????

Many thanks, I think I'll buy one because I'll never be happy with my first attempt and I can guarantee It will be back out after the first Summer.

Thanks for the info!
